The Chew: Broccoli Salad Recipe Ingredients

Michael Symon’s Broccoli Salad makes for the perfect side dish to bring on a picnic or to a summer BBQ! (cjtrigg / Flickr)
- 2 1/3 C roasted salted peanuts
- 1 C scallions – sliced thin
- 3/4 C sour cream
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 bunch fresh dill – finely chopped
- kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper – to taste
- 1 lb broccoli
- 2 1/2 C dried cherries
- 1 C buttermilk
- 1/4 C apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp spicy brown stadium-style mustard
- 1 tsp fresh nutmeg – grated
The Chew: Broccoli Salad Recipe Directions
- Cut the broccoli into small florets
- Trim the edges of the broccoli stems, then quarter lengthwise and slice thin
- In a large mixing bowl, add the stems, broccoli florets, cherries, peanuts, and scallions
- In a different small bowl, add the sour cream, buttermilk, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, dill, and mustard, then whisk
- Season with nutmeg, salt, and pepper
- Pour over the broccoli mixture then mix
