The Chew: Mini Chutney Cheese Balls
You can’t have a party without a cheese ball, right? But it can sometimes be a little to munch on a tasty cheese ball while also cradling a drink in one hand. Clinton Kelly hilariously dressed up as a genie to make all of our party wishes come true! Clinton transformed a traditional cheese ball into Mini Chutney Cheese Balls that can be held and eaten with one hand for much easier party snacking! Not only is this version easier to eat, but it tastes even better than any cheese ball you’ve had before!

The Chew: Mini Chutney Cheese Balls Recipe Ingredients

Clinton Kelly’s Mini Chutney Cheese Balls are a great way to make party snacking much easier! (veganfeast / Flickr)
- 2 tbsp sour cream
- 1/2 C walnuts – toasted, chopped
- 1/2 tsp curry powder
- 1/2 jar mango chutney (approximately 4 oz)
- 1 bag honey braided pretzels
- 1 lb cream cheese – softened to room temperature
- 1/2 C currants
- 1/2 C scallions – sliced thin
- 1/2 tsp Kosher salt
- 1 C sweetened coconut flakes
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
The Chew: Mini Chutney Cheese Balls Recipe Directions
- In a large bowl, add the sour cream and cream cheese
- Mix the cheeses until combined, then add the currants
- Toss in the walnuts, curry powder, scallions, and salt, then stir again
- Use a tbsp-size cookie scoop to form the mixture into small balls, then roll with your hands to smooth
- Put on a baking sheet and store in the fridge for at least 30 minutes
- Remove the cheese balls from the fridge and put a honey braided pretzel into the center of each cheese ball
- Dip the cheese ball into the chutney, then cover with coconut
- Put onto a serving platter
- Store in the fridge until ready to serve
