During The Chew‘s All-Star Cocktail Party, Carla Hall was inspired by a drink her grandmother used to serve, to make a mocktail anyone would love! Her Peach Sweet Tea Mocktail doesn’t include any alcohol, but it truly doesn’t even need it! The Chew: Peach Sweet Tea Mocktail Recipe

Carla Hall’s Peach Sweet Tea Mocktail was inspired by the delicious drinks her grandmother used to prepare. (marinate_me_baby / Flickr)

For the Black Tea Simple Syrup:

  • 1 C water
  • 1 C sugar
  • 2 black tea bags

For the Mocktail:

  • 1/2 C sugar
  • 1 tbsp peach jam
  • 2 tbsp black tea simple syrup
  • ice – to serve
  • 1/2 C finely ground almonds
  • 1/2 C frozen peaches
  • 1/8 tsp almond extract
  • 1/3 C soda water

The Chew: Peach Sweet Tea Mocktail Recipe Directions

For the Simple Syrup:

  1. In a small saucepan, add the water and sugar, then heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves
  2. Add the tea bags, then cover and let steep for about 5 minutes
  3. Remove the tea bags, then let the simple syrup cool completely

For the Mocktail:

  1. Mix the almonds and sugar on a plate
  2. Dip the rim of a glass into lemon juice or water, then dip in the almond sugar mixture
  3. In a carafe of a blender, add the jam, peaches, and almond extract
  4. Blend until smooth, adding water to loosen if needed
  5. Pour into a collins glass filled with ice
  6. Add the simple syrup, then mix
  7. Top with soda water and serve
