To kick it off, Mario Batali used a Mexican lager to make a Sriracha-Lime Michelada. Michelada is really just a fancy name for a cocktail with a beer. Whether you call it a bloody beer, bloody-rita, or something else, this is one tasty cocktail with just the right amount of heat.

The Chew: Sriracha-Lime Michelada Recipe Ingredients

Mario Batali put together a spicy and sweet cocktail that combined the flavors of beer, Sriracha, and lime. ([email protected] / Flickr)
- 2 tbsp salt
- 2 tbsp Sriracha (or to taste)
- ice – to serve
- 1 lime – zested, 1/2 juiced + more cut into wedges to serve
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 bottle Mexican lager
The Chew: Sriracha-Lime Michelada Recipe Directions
- Combine the zest of one lime, sugar, and salt
- Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a glass
- Coat the rim with the lime zest mixture
- Fill the glass with ice
- Add sriracha, the juice of half a lime, and one cold beer
- Stir to mix, then garnish with a lime wedge
