Kathie Lee & Hoda invited a YouTube star to join them on Today Show in discussing one of their favorite topics: cocktails. Mamrie Hart, the host of the web video series “You Deserve a Drink,” considers herself a pro when it comes to creating fun drink combinations that pay tribute to her friends and guests.

Today Show: Mamrie Hart Bad Apple Martini Recipe
Hart said that she dedicated the Bad Apple Martini to New York City. It came to be after her first day in town. You can read the essay behind this drink in Mamrie’s new book.
Calvados is an apple brandy. Have you ever tasted it?
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz Calvados (or use any Apple Brandy)
- 2 oz Apple Cider
- 1 tub Caramel Dipping Sauce (for rimming the glass)
- 1 1/2 oz Vodka
- 1/2 oz Ginger Liqueur
- Ice
- thinly sliced Apples (for garnish)
Directions
- Dip a martini glass into the caramel tub to leave a caramel glaze on the rim.
- Pour ginger liqueur, cider, and Calvados over ice in a cocktail shaker.
- Shake ingredients. Then pour into martini glasses.
- Garnish with apple slices and serve.
Mamrie Hart: Kathie Lee & Hoda Front Door Sangria Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 sliced Kiwis
- 1 bottle Pinot Grigio
- 2 cans Lychees (in juices)
- 1 splash Vodka (or use Rum)
Directions
- Combine kiwis with lychees in a punch bowl or pitcher.
- Pour in a generous amount of pinot grigio.
- Add a splash of the hard liquor of your choice (in any flavor).
- Let sit for at least 30 minutes so the flavors combine before enjoying.
