- 1/4 C brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp five spice powder
- 1 C blanched and slivered almonds
- 1 C raw black walnuts (regular walnuts work too)
- 1 egg white
- 1/2 tsp cayene pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 C raw pecan halves

- Preheat oven to 250 degrees
- In a bowl, whisk the egg white until frothy and thick
- Add the cayenne, sugar, salt, and five spice, then mix
- Add the almonds, walnuts, and pecans, then stir to coat
- Use a slotted spoon to transfer the nuts to two baking sheets
- Bake until golden brown and crunchy, abou 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway
- Cool and store in an airtight container for up to two weeks
