Rachael Ray: Michael Symon Cheesy Broccoli Gratin Recipe Ingredients

Michael Symon made his version of a healthier broccoli casserole, sharing easy side dishes with Rachael Ray. (ink_mama)
- 6 C broccoli florets
- 2 garlic cloves – minced
- 1/2 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
- 1/4 C thinly sliced scallions – white and green parts
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- kosher salt
- 1 C heavy cream
- 1 C grated Gruyere cheese
- 1/2 C panko breadcrumbs – toasted
Michael Symon: Rachael Ray Cheesy Broccoli Gratin Recipe Directions
- Put a large skillet over medium-high heat
- Add the olive oil followed by the broccoli and a good pinch of salt
- Cook, stirring occasionally, for 1 minute
- Add the garlic and cook until the garlic becomes fragrant – about 1 minute
- Reduce the heat to medium, then add the cream and nutmeg
- Cook until the cream reduces slightly and the broccoli is cooked through, about 2 minutes
- Add the gruyere and cook, stirring consistently unti lthe cheese is melted, about 1 minute
- Remove from the heat and stir in the scallions
- Top with panko and serve
