Rachael Ray: Muffuletta Hummus
Grant and Tina, members of Rachael Ray’s culinary team for her show, stepped into the kitchen to share a few of their favorite ways to make homemade hummus. Grant went first, sharing a recipe for Everything Bagel Hummus, and then Tina shared an equally tasty one. To please all your guests, you can prepare Muffuletta Hummus. She used Bush’s garbanzo beans and Bush’s Hummus Made Easy, Roasted Red Pepper flavor. She combined the best flavors of the delicious Muffuletta, including salami, and healthy hummus to make an incredible snack or appetizer.

Rachael Ray: Muffuletta Hummus Recipe Ingredients

Tina Wu, a member of Rachael Ray’s culinary team, prepared an incredible Muffuletta Hummus that will disappear before you can even grab seconds. (jlbalaco / Flickr)
- 1 packet Bush’s Hummus Made Easy Pouch, Roasted Red Pepper flavor
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 C pepperoncini – chopped
- 1 tbsp capers – chopped
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley
- 1 16-oz can Bush’s garbanzo beans – drained, rinsed
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 C green olives – chopped
- 1/4 C roasted red peppers – chopped
- 1/2 C deli-cut salami – chopped (save some for topping)
- toasted crostinis and/or toasted focaccia – to serve
Rachael Ray: Muffuletta Hummus Recipe Directions
- Put the drained garbanzo beans and the flavor packet in a food processor
- Blend to the consistency of your choice
- Put the hummus into a bowl and mix in the red wine vinegar, onion and garlic powder, red pepper flakes, pepperoncini, green olives, roasted red peppers, salami, and capers
- Season with salt and black pepper
- Put the hummus into a serving dish and top with the rest of the salami and chopped parsley
- Serve with toasted crostini and/or toasted focaccia
