Rachael Ray doesn’t have room for a popcorn machine, but she certainly doesn’t need one! She shared how you can make homemade popcorn in no time on the stove, which means no more microwave popcorn either! If you’re planning on plopping down on the couch and spending some quality time in front of the TV, you have to have a delicious snack to munch on, and Rachael’s Parisian-Style Popcorn is perfect for just that! It’s no surprise it was named the Popcorn of the Year!

Rachael Ray: Parisian-Style Popcorn Recipe

The Popcorn of the Year was this incredible Parisian-Style Popcorn that is too good to pass up! (cyclonebill / Flickr)

  • 2 cloves garlic – crushed
  • 3/4 C popcorn kernels
  • 1/2 C finely grated Parmigiano-Reggiano
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 palmful Herbes de Provence
  • fine sea salt

Rachael Ray: Parisian-Style Popcorn Recipe Directions

  1. Over medium-high heat, melt the butter
  2. Add the crushed garlic and infused for 2-3 minues, then take off the heat
  3. In a high-sided skillet or deep pot over medium-high heat, heat the oil
  4. Once the oil begins to ripple, pour in the popcorn kernels and cover with a lid
  5. Shake the pan back and forth to let the kernels pop evenly and prevent them from burning
  6. When you start to hear popping less often, turn off the heat and put the popcorn in a large mixing bowl
  7. Toss to coat with garlic butter, parm, Herbes de Provence, and salt
