Ryan Scott took on a challenge to make five Thanksgiving side dishes in one hour. While it got a little chaotic, he managed to make it happen! Among other delicious dishes, one of the simplest and equally delicious recipes, was his Ranch “Mashers” or mashed potatoes. This dish can easily compliment any Thanksgiving meal, and the ranch realy takes it over the top!

Rachael Ray: Ryan Scott Ranch Mashed Potatoes Recipe Ingredients

- 1/2 C sour cream
- salt and pepper – to taste
- 1 bunch chives – chopped
- 2 lbs medium-size red potatoes
- 1 stick butter
- 1 4-oz packet Hidden Valley Ranch mix

- Put potatoes in a large pot with enough water to cover the potatoes entirely
- Bring water to a boil and cook until potatoes can be pierved with a fork
- Remove the potatoes from salted water, saving the salted water
- In a large bowl, add potatoes, sour cream, and 1/4 C of the saved sat water
- Fold in the butter while you mash the potatoes, adding in some of the water as you need
- Mash until everything is evenly mixed
- Season with salt and pepper, then mix in the ranch packet
- Garnish with chopped chives on top
