She joined Rachael Ray to share some of her favorite frozen pizza hacks. With just a few ingredients and a frozen pizza of your choice, you can have an unexpected and delicious dinner on the table any night of the week! She showed Rachael how she was able to turn a regular frozen pizza into her “Pizzagna” or a combination of pizza and lasagna.

Rachael Ray: Sunny Anderson Pizzagna Recipe

Sunny Anderson’s Pizzagna is a combination of pizza and lasagna, made with a frozen pizza a few simple hacks! (stuart_spivack / Flickr)

  • 1 C ricotta cheese
  • 6-8 leftover or frozen cooked meatballs – thawed, halved
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • one handful fresh arugula
  • 1 frozen pizza
  • zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 C shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 C finely grated parmesan cheese

Sunny Anderson: Rachael Ray Pizzagna Recipe Directions

  1. Preheat the oven according to pizza package directions
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the lemon zest and ricotta cheese
  3. Add dollops of the ricotta cheese onto the frozen pizza
  4. Add meatballs to the pizza, then top with some mozzarella cheese
  5. Put the pizza in the oven and cook according to package directions
  6. Remove from the oven and top with red pepper flakes, arugula, and parmesan cheese
  7. Slice and serve
