The Chew: Holiday Party Pretzel Mix Recipe

  • 4 C salted pretzels (per mix recipe)

For Mario’s Parmesan Pizza Mix:

  • 1/4 C Parmigiano-Reggiano – freshly grated
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 2-3 tbsp sun-dried tomatoes – dry, not packed in oil, finely ground in blender

For Carla’s Spiced Hot Chocolate Mix:

  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp butter – melted
  • 1/4 C sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground cayenne pepper

For Clinton’s Lemon Thyme Pepper Mix:

  • 1 lemon – finely zested
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 4 tbsp butter – melted
  • 2 tsp fresh thyme – leaves

For Michael’s Cleveland Mustard Mix:

  • 1 tbsp ground mustard
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 4 tbsp butter – melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

The Chew: Holiday Party Pretzel Mix Recipe Directions

  1. For each mix recipe, preheat the oven to 325 degrees
  2. In a large bowl, add 4 C pretzels and the pretzel mix of choice
  3. Toss to combine
  4. Transfer the pretzels to a baking sheet and spread into an even layer
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes
  6. Remove and set aside to cool
